As a trusted solution for companies wanting to manage their accounting processes efficiently, Sage 100 has released its highly anticipated version 2025, introducing exciting new features to Journal Entries. These new features to the Journal Reversal functionality assist in simplifying the process of reversing journal entries. Let’s discover how enhanced posting dates for reversed journal entries can take businesses to the next level.
In older versions of Sage 100, reversing a journal entry could become confusing concerning the original posting date, especially if the entry was created during a closed accounting period. With the new 2025 update, users can now utilize the Journal Reversal option in Account Maintenance, allowing the posting date in the General Journal Entry to default to the original date. However, if the original date falls within a closed accounting period, the posting date will automatically correct to the current accounting date.
This new and exciting feature of journal entries addresses the evolving needs of businesses that use Sage 100. By providing defaulted posting dates, closed period functionality, streamlined reversal processes, and improved accuracy, Sage is assisting in the growth of its users by improving overall efficiencies and experiences.
